About Me

Hello, I’m David. Thank you for visiting my website, and welcome.

I am an experienced integrative counsellor based near Warrington in Cheshire. Life can be demanding, and it’s easy to feel like you’re carrying everything on your own. For many years, I have sat with people feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure what to do next. I know how hard it is to ask for help, and how life-changing it can be when you do (believe me, I've been there!). Here, you get a space just for you, to breathe, untangle the noise, and find what you need.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, challenges as a man, neurodiversity, trauma, relationships/separation, or feeling like you’ve lost your sense of who you are, you’re not alone….and I’m so glad you’ve reached out.

I work with individuals across Warrington, St Helens, Frodsham and the surrounding areas. I also work online, helping you feel heard, understood, and supported at your own pace.

Being an honest and trustworthy counsellor is at the core of who I am. So I want to offer you that safe space to be seen as a human (that's both good, bad and everything in between) without any judgement, but rather a curiosity to see how the world is through your eyes.

If you would like to talk things through or explore how I can support you, I would love to hear from you.

  • Experience

I have a number of years of experience in working with clients who present with anxiety, identity issues, low self-worth, shame, depression, relationship issues and also bereavement and loss.

I provide counselling services for several work placement services (including Health Assured and OneBright mental health). Alongside this, I have my own private counselling practice in which I support clients with the emotional challenges that are impacting their lives.

My previous experience includes working at the MacMillan Delamere centre in Halton, offering support to patients and family members following a recent cancer diagnosis. I also worked for a local community service in Widnes, where clients presented issues such as anger, addiction, social injustice and bereavement. From 2017 until 2020, I was a listening volunteer at the Samaritans.

Being real and authentic with another person can be extremely daunting. However, gradually sharing your true feelings with a trusted person can be the beginning of finding out who you truly are. This can be a difficult journey of self-discovery, but one of the most valuable and beautiful things you will ever do for yourself.
